An open innovation framework to make insurance better, more accessible and more affordable.

Rapidly shifting investor and consumer attitudes on environmental issues present substantial risk and growth opportunities to insurance providers.  Creation Labs Climate is a research and co-creation initiative designed to the help the industry be bold, act decisively and move fast in order to be on the right side of community sentiment and evolving environmental risk-related challenges.

Our bold ambition is to conceive, design and launch 3+ new ventures by YE 2022 in the following focus areas:

  • Natural disasters

  • Infrastructure and resilience

  • Energy-efficient technology and renewables

  • Transition to a low carbon future

  • Weather and climate variability

  • Natural resources management

 

Program Roadmap

Research

Research to identify and vet 8+ specific insurance and insurance adjacent growth opportunities.

  • Design-led discovery through expert facilitated interviews and synthesis

  • 360 degree approach to challenges

  • Emphasis on defining common themes and specific problem statements that can be solved through rapid co-creation efforts.

Summit

  • Rapid (12-24 weeks per project) design-led co-creation following the Creation Labs Framework
