InnSure Debuts Climate Risk Solutions Incubator Platform
Creation Labs to accelerate the launch and scaling of innovative climate risk products and services that close decarbonization and natural catastrophe protection gaps in communities.
BOSTON, January 5, 2026 — InnSure, a non-profit reimagining climate change-related insurance risk financing, today announced the launch of Creation Labs, their flagship climate innovations incubator platform.
Created in partnership with GreenieRE, a reinsurance company leveraging financial products to solve for risks holding back climate infrastructure, Creation Labs is a launch and growth platform that will foster the development of new climate risk management products and accelerate their go-to-market time. By matching insurance innovators with communities, Creation Labs aims to close climate-driven insurance protection gaps and facilitate the launch of new scalable climate risk management projects and services that address communities’ greatest climate challenges.
“With Creation Labs, we’re equipping bold, forward-thinking companies with the resources and network necessary to accelerate the deployment of affordable, scalable insurance solutions that meet critical climate-related market gaps in communities that need them the most,” said InnSure’s Managing Director Christopher Lowell. “Communities nationwide need solutions that not only address the growing impacts of extreme weather but also strengthen their long-term economic resilience and support their transition to green energy.”
Targeted Creation Labs programs will support and connect entrepreneurs, innovation partners, and communities with differentiated services. Entrepreneurs get access to an ecosystem of critical players including venture capitalists, risk capital providers, and subject matter experts. Innovation partners and sponsors can access aligned climate risk management concepts and a robust support infrastructure to ensure long-term financial success and value creation. And communities will benefit from a series of accelerator services: hands-on experiences and tools to help projects progress, milestone-based project planning, and regular check-ins with mentors.
The platform is also supported by the New York State Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), which previously awarded InnSure a $5 million grant to develop a program that would support the development and deployment of novel climate risk insurance solutions. This program served as the precursor and pipeline to Creation Labs.
InnSure is currently seeking early- to mid-stage growth companies with climate impact-focused innovative risk transfer, technology, and/or data solutions in risk management to join the second cohort of Creation Labs for Q1 2026.
